First impressions –Immediately out of the box the carrycot looked stylish, comfortable and not overly heavy. The brown leather handle was a very nice touch, the mattress seemed thick and soft, the material felt of good quality.

Practicality – The carry cot clips onto the pram with ease, the adaptors simple click into place and then you are free to take the carrycot on and off as you please, its overall lightweight even with little one inside, the inside pocket was great for storing things like phone and wallet. The mattress is really comfy and our little one loves it so we often used the carrycot as a place for her to nap throughout the day. I was worried that the bottom end of the carrycot would sit to far behind the handle but there is plenty of room. With both the pram and carrycot individually folding up small and flat we didn’t hesitate to take this on trips in the car and not worry about storage, It fit fine in my boot with room to spare.
Final thoughts – Overall we loved using the carrycot and so did the little one, she would fall asleep quickly being so comfy on that mattress. Coming in from walks and being able to easily take the carrycot off the pram and not interrupt the little one while she finished her nap was a big plus for us. We have used DLX Chrome carrycot and whilst the sizes are similar the quality is definitely in favour of the Ramble XL, the mattress is thicker and the little one seemed to sleep for longer in the Ramble XL. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a comfy and easily portable carrycot.
